The installation of the new dock at Old Pond in Chatham by the Chatham Area Recreation Project, Inc. (CARP), was celebrated last week with a ribbon cutting ceremony. In addition to the Kayak / Canoe dock and launch being restored, the park was cleared of years of overgrowth. With the support of Genovese Excavation who volunteered equipment and expertise, ACP Power Equipment who donated a wood chipper and the help of several people in the community, a beautiful little park has been created. Chatham Area Recreation Project (CARP) has added several picnic tables made specially for the park by Ron Cullen a local wood worker and another from Agway Hardware Store.
